Polish Christmas Songs and Polish Carols. In Poland, celebrating Christmas is very much associated with Catholic religion (because of most Polish are practicing Catholic). Holidays are preceded by a four-week Advent when Polish people every Sunday burning candles in churches which are countdown to Christmas. The sixth of December in Poland is called “Mikołajki”, in this day children are receiving gifts from Santa Claus. The most important moment of Christmas in Poland is Christmas Eve. It is the most family celebration. On the table should be twelve dishes (without meat). After ceremonial dinner all the people giving away present to their family and friends. At midnight, Polish poeple are going for the Midnight Mass.
